Guided by
Relationship

grounded in truth

You do not need to know the exact service you need before reaching out.
Come with the gathering, question, challenge, idea, or responsibility you are carrying. We listen first, then shape the right support with you.
SIM WENÁCW works with organizations across Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, and communities throughout Canada, online and in person.

SERVICES

Support shaped around your people and purpose

BEGIN A CONVERSATION

Ways We Can Walk Alongside You

A closer look at how we can support your organization.

Our work can begin with one conversation, one workshop, one gathering, or a longer relationship. Each offering is shaped around your people, purpose, responsibilities, and where you are in the work.

Organizational Learning, Facilitation & Advisory Support

Facilitation & Complex Conversations

For teams, boards, and leaders navigating conflict, change, racism, accountability, repair, or difficult decisions.
We design and facilitate conversations that require honesty, thoughtful participation, and clear next steps. This may include team discussions, leadership gatherings, planning sessions, retreats, circles, or conversations where trust has been strained.

Custom Workshops & Education

Practical and relational learning shaped around your organization, people, and context.
Workshops may explore Indigenous cultural safety, anti-racism, anti-discrimination, power, belonging, respectful relationships, leadership, and accountability. Learning can be offered as a single session or developed into a series that supports reflection and change over time.

Policy, Practice & Program Review

A closer look at what policies, programs, resources, communications, and everyday practices are actually doing.
We review through cultural safety, anti-racism, anti-discrimination, equity, and accessibility lenses. We help identify gaps, potential harms, unclear accountability, and places where organizational commitments need to become practice.

Leadership, Strategy & Accountability

Grounded guidance for leaders, managers, boards, and teams carrying complex or sensitive work.
Support may include strategic planning, decision-making, leadership reflection, communication review, meeting preparation, accountability planning, or ongoing guidance as your organization works through change.

Curriculum & Learning Design

For organizations creating or renewing courses, workshops, learning programs, and educational resources.
We support learning goals, content development, language, structure, reflection activities, facilitation approaches, and the respectful inclusion of Indigenous knowledge and perspectives. We can help create something new or review and strengthen existing learning.

Accessibility & Inclusive Practice

Support for organizations seeking to make learning, gatherings, communications, and workplace practices more accessible.
Drawing on lived and professional expertise within our circle, we help identify barriers, consider how people participate, and build accessibility into the work from the beginning.

Cultural Openings, Workshops & Gatherings

How a gathering begins matters.

Support for conferences, meetings, retreats, community events, and learning spaces that need to begin with care and cultural grounding.
An opening may include welcome, reflection, song, story, or other cultural elements, depending on the gathering, the people involved, and what is appropriate.

Openings in a Good Way

Support for organizations seeking to make learning, gatherings, communications, and workplace practices more accessible.
Drawing on lived and professional expertise within our circle, we help identify barriers, consider how people participate, and build accessibility into the work from the beginning.

Cultural Workshops & Hands-On Learning

Cultural and creative learning shaped around your group, gathering, and available time.
Offerings may include cedar weaving, storytelling, cultural arts, teachings, or other hands-on experiences led by people whose knowledge and gifts are right for the work.

Dance, Regalia & Storysharing

A living sharing of dance, regalia, and story, offered as an invitation into relationship.
We work with dancers and cultural workers to create an experience that is respectful, prepared, and connected to the purpose of your gathering.

Sharing Circles & Reflective Gatherings

Circle-based gatherings grounded in respectful listening, speaking from the heart, and the option to pass.
We help clarify the purpose, participation, facilitation, and care needed so the circle is approached with intention rather than used as a generic meeting format.

We help clarify roles, expectations, preparation, timing, travel, gifts, honoraria, and compensation so everyone involved is respected and properly supported.

WE CARE FOR THE PROCESS

We invite people whose gifts, knowledge, lived experience, and professional expertise fit what the work requires.

WE BRING IN THE RIGHT PEOPLE

We stay connected to the purpose, people, responsibilities, and overall direction of the work.

WE HOLD THE CENTRE

A trusted circle, thoughtfully connected.

A trusted circle, thoughtfully connected.

SIM WENÁCW is led by two Indigenous women who remain directly connected to every organization we support.
When the work calls for it, we draw on trusted cultural workers, dancers, artists, speakers, facilitators, accessibility specialists, policy professionals, youth, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community connections.
Our role is to bring the right people together thoughtfully and ensure the work is prepared for with care.

MEET OUR CIRCLE

1. Begin With a Conversation
Tell us about the gathering, question, concern, responsibility, or idea. You do not need to arrive with a finished plan.

How Working Together Unfolds

3. Prepare With Care
We clarify expectations, roles, accessibility, logistics, cultural considerations, compensation, and what participants need to know beforehand.

2. Shape the Support Together
We talk through your people, purpose, context, timing, and responsibilities. From there, we recommend an approach and identify who should be involved.

5. Reflect and Close
Where appropriate, we support reflection, identify next steps, and help your organization consider how the learning or commitments will continue after the session ends.

4. Carry the Work
We facilitate, teach, review, advise, open, or connect, depending on what we have shaped together.

You may need a combination of facilitation, learning, review, cultural support, or ongoing guidance. You may also be unsure where to begin.
Bring us what you are working through. We will listen and help shape a thoughtful place to begin.

Not Everything Fits Into One Service

Cultural Safety in Practice

Cultural safety is not a statement. It is reflected in how people are treated, heard, protected, respected, and able to participate.
Our work helps organizations look beyond intention and consider what people actually experience within their policies, decisions, learning spaces, workplaces, and relationships.
